Desperate for independence, shy artist Sofia flees with her ten-year-old son from her emotionally abusive marriage, resolving to find a decent-paying job. Meanwhile, Katelyn abandons teaching after being pressured to compromise her ethics for wealthy donors, hoping a tech startup will offer more respect, better compensation and the chance to make a real difference. Both women land at Smart Heads, where charismatic CEO Marcus Barnes promises them opportunity—but delivers something drastically different.

Soon, to their shock, Sofia and Katelyn realize they’re pawns in a dangerous game. Marcus is defrauding investors and, if caught, planning to blame his inexperienced female employees. But he’s underestimated the “throwaway women” he thinks he can scapegoat. When his scheme threatens to implode, the women must decide how far to go to expose the truth, at the risk of their livelihoods and reputations.
